Shams ud Duha Mohammad (SAW)

Shams ud Duha- Size 8x11 inches Medium: 24ct shell gold, natural pigments on recycled plant fibre handmade PARWANA paper. This is one of the set of two beautiful Zillij artworks made by the Alefiya Abbas Ali on PARWANA paper. Each painting is made with 16 and 24 petals rosettes requiring the construction of pieces that interface with eight fold geometry. The colors and concept behind both these artworks is inspired by this phrase of a Manqabat (a Sufi devotional poem, in praise of Hazrat Ali ibn Abi Talib)
